Radio programmes

Since retiring to Spain, Vernon has maintained his interest in radio presenting.

He has a weekly programme on an English-speaking radio station BigFM on Sunday afternoon from 2-4pm. The station is based in Alfas del Pi, just inland from Benidorm, and covers the Costa Blanca area from Alicante in the south to Gandia in the north on 96.7 and 92.2FM, as well as broadcasting on the internet.

He also records a weekly, hour-long programme for Hospital Radio Basingstoke called Postcard from Spain. The programme features the music of the ’70s and ’80s, together with stories and news items about life here in Spain and a weekly recipe with a Mediterranean flavour. The programme now has its own web page which features all the recipes.
