Albarracin is also one of our favourite places.
We have a second home in Mora de Ruebelios (about 1 hour from Albarracin – in the mountains the other side of Teruel.
If you love this area as much as we do then you have to return and see the area where we live.
I love the way you write and my i suggest that next year you visit Teruel for the fiesta “Los Amantes de Teruel – 1217″. Always on the nearest weekend to St. Valentines (Feb 14).
It is the fiesta to commerate the story of the “Two Lovers”. They close off the city centre and about 20.000 people descend on the city and they turn it into a medieval city with tents, costumes, open fires, parades – great fun – but can be a bit cold. Have to be seen to be believed – i can send you some pics if you are interested.
My suggestion would be to stay with our friends David (Irish) and Sylvia (Spanish) who own a casa rual in Rubelios de Mora (about 40 mins from Teruel) just down the road from the ski slopes in Valindenaires. let me know if you are interested and I can send you more details.
