We continue to be busy with two of our hobbies – Celia’s tap dancing and Vernon’s singing with the Costa Blanca Male Voice Choir.
Once again, Celia took part with her dance class in what has now become an annual event – the Tapathon – in aid of BBC Children in Need and an attempt to break the world record for the number of people tap dancing at the same time. The record of just over 7,500 has eluded them so far but they are keeping their fingers crossed that their luck will change this year. This year Vernon supplied the PA system for the half-hour show, which ensured a better sound for both the dancers and the audience. A video of the record attempt can be viewed here.
For the second year running, the Costa Blanca Male Voice Choir was asked to join the Remembrance Service, organised by the local branch of the Royal British Legion in Moraira Church. Included in the boy’s performance this year was a new and very poignant song from the film ‘We were soldiers’ called ‘Mansions of the Lord’.
The choir are now rehearsing for a busy season of carol concerts in the run-up to Christmas.
